The stock exhaust system is full of crimped tubing that hurts exhaust flow and robs horsepower. This exhaust was designed using sophisticated CAD modeling software to produce smooth gradual bends and to eliminate any interruption to the flow of exhaust gasses. AWE's improvements to the exhaust path resulted in gains of +8-9 horsepower and +6-7 lb ft of torque at the crank.

Replacing the large, restrictive factory mufflers also has a pleasing effect on the engine note. AWE's exhaust systems give the 2.0T a civilized, more melodious voice worthy of a German sports coupe. Specific attention was paid to part throttle, low rpm situations. There is no drone with this system.

This system comes in three variations: Single, Dual, and Quad Outlet. Single Outlet exhaust systems will fit all coupes as delivered from the factory. The Dual Outlet exhaust system is compatible with all coupes that have the A5 3.2L rear valance in place. The Quad Outlet system will only fit S-Line A5 (or non S-Line fitted with an S-Line rear bumper) once the S5 rear valence is installed. Each variation of AWE's A5 2.0T Exhaust comes equipped with logo engraved bevel edged exhaust tips; 3.15" diameter for Single and Quad Outlet systems and 3.5" for Dual Outlet systems. These tips are double walled to ensure a mirror finish even under hard usage. Select the classic Polished Silver finish or the luscious Diamond Black to help your car stand out from the pack. Each tip is individually adjustable, so stagger and depth into bumper can be set according to personal taste.

For the enthusiast interested in a more aggressive sound, AWE offers their A5 2.0T downpipe. Testing showed no power increase adding the downpipe since the stock downpipe uses a straight resonator and is already free flowing. Our downpipe will increase sound volume, while adding a slightly deeper tone. It will mate to our exhaust system or any other exhaust designed to work with the stock downpipe.

As with all A.W.E. Tuning exhaust products, each TIG weld is hand finished internally, only butt-welded junctions are used, and flange openings are size matched to their ports, all to produce the smoothest flow possible.
