Dual Stage Design

For most applications, we've found that having a 2.75" or 3.00" inside diameter intake tube resulted in less horsepower and torque. We've also found that we were able to produce better results by having varied length diameters of piping to feed your engine more compressed air. The Dual Stage Cold Air Intake starts from a 2.5" inside diameter at the filter and forms into a 2.25" inside diameter before the engine. Bigger is not always better.

Urethane Filters

The urethane filter included with ESE's Dual Stage Cold Air Intake is built from an advanced polyurethane filter construction for lighter weight and durability. The strong galvanized steel mesh with bright epoxy coating prevents erosion and does not deform when applied with turbocharged / high-revving engines, unlike other leading filters. Unique weaving is used for constant, superior filtration with more, deeper pleats for a larger filtration surface. It's also easily cleanable and reusable as well!

Rubber Cone Filter Adapter

A rubber adapter for the Urethane Cone Filter is included with every Dual Stage Cold Air Intake. Quite often filters are prone to falling off due to incorrect sizing or inappropriate mounting surfaces. This filter adapter ensures that your cone filter fits snuggly on to your intake and stays there!

Aluminum Breather Filter Adapter

Too often we've installed intake kits from other manufacturers who required cutting the secondary air hose in order to install the breather filter. With our adapter, there is no need to cut, heat, or remove the connector that connects to your original airbox. Push in the adapter and clamp on the filter...it's that easy! This ensures that your Dual Stage Cold Air Intake is fully reversible and installed cleanly.

Rubber Couplers

Rubber couplers are used to cushion against engine movement and torque, relieving stress on the intake. Rubber was also used instead of silicone since rubber couplers are more resistant to scratching and discoloration and also provide more grip. Rubber is also less prone to retain dirt and cleans up easier than silicone.

Bead Rolled Edges

Bead rolled edges were used on the straight pipe of the Dual Stage Cold Air Intake to ensure the rubber couplers connect easily and tightly. The bead rolled edges were placed in the two areas with the most tension and stress. Bead welds were not used since bead rolled edges are more consistent and offer more grip. Other intakes without rolled edges open up the opportunity for air leaks. This can lead to a loss in power and more importantly, can lead to the chance for dirt and other particles to be introduced into the intake stream.

Polished Aluminum Tubing

All of the piping on the Dual Stage Cold Air Intake is made from aluminum to offer a lightweight construction and to keep intake temperatures down. All of the piping is also polished to offer that clean, stylish look.

Comprehensive Kit

Our Dual Stage Cold Air Intake includes everything required for installation. High quality clamps, brackets, and accessories are included. Cheap and fragile hardware from hardware stores were not used (unlike other intakes on the market). All tubing, couplers, clamps, brackets, filters, adapters, instructions, and stickers are included.
